GaNFast Power ICs enable total portability and flexibility to charge all your mobile devices

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.–(PRWeb)— Navitas Semiconductor today announced its partnership with Baseus to introduce the “2C1A” 65W 3-port mobile wall charger with GaNFast (Gallium Nitride) power IC technology to achieve the world’s smallest and lightest portable form-factor.

The GaNFast 2C1A eliminates the need for three separate wall chargers by delivering three fast-charging outputs in a case size of only 3.2 x 3.5 x 7.5 cm (84 cc) and125 grams which is less than half the size & weight of older, slower silicon-based designs, creating the ultimate all-in-one charger. To achieve optimal, simultaneous charging for a user’s laptop, tablet and smartphone, the 2C1A provides 65W of total power with 45W guaranteed from the USB-C port 1 and 20W shared across the USB-C port 2 and USB-A outputs.

“This is ‘Baseus 3.0’,” said Mr. Shiyou HE, Baseus’ founder and CEO. “The market has begun to redefine Baseus, and Baseus has begun to redefine itself. As the star product, the 2C1A GaN charger was launched based on Navitas’ GaNFast technology, which makes it the smallest three-port charger in the world. It is also the prime intention of Baseus to adhere to ‘practical aesthetics’, and constantly explore and expand. After the 2C1A’s product launch at Baseus’ Star New Product Conference, strong market and consumer support has highlighted Baseus’ concept of bringing real value to users. Baseus has the vision to work with partners to lead consumers into the GaN charging era!”

“Baseus’ focus on exploiting leading-edge technology to drive world-class end-user experience mirrors Navitas’ own strategy,” said Gene Sheridan, CEO of Navitas, adding “We thank Mr. He and the Baseus team for choosing the 2C1A charger as the first release at the Star New Product Conference, and we look forward to further collaboration”.

Robbie Chen, Product Director of Baseus, commented “The 2C1A GaN charger has received attention beyond expectation and we believe it will become one of the hot selling products of 2019. Baseus will confidently bring additional new GaN products to consumers.”

The 2C1A power adapter uses highly-integrated, speed-optimized, next-generation gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductor technology that replaces old, slow discrete silicon components, and enables the adapter to utilize high-frequency, high-efficiency, soft-switching techniques to shrink the size, weight and cost of passive components and heatsinks. Navitas GaNFast power ICs enable a new generation of fast-charging mobile adapters for smartphones, tablets and laptops from 27W to 300W+.
