About Richard Hendrix:

Rick Hendrix is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Live Oak Merchant Partners and serves as Chairman and CEO of Live Oak Acquisition Corp V (NASDAQ: LOKV). Rick has served as CEO for all five SPACs sponsored by Live Oak Merchant and is also an Operating Executive at Crestview Partners, a middle-market-focused private equity firm.

Prior to co-founding Live Oak, Rick was Chairman and CEO of FBR & Co (NYSE: FBRC), a capital markets and investment banking firm, from January 2009 until its successful sale in June 2017. During his 17-year tenure, he helped grow FBR into a leading bookrunner for initial equity offerings, with a strong focus on sole-managed large common equity private placements. He also led six acquisitions, the carve-out of FBR from Arlington Asset Investment Corp., and the firm’s IPO in 2007.

Over the course of his career, Rick has worked extensively with issuers and investors across a broad range of industries. He has led dozens of initial equity offerings, raising capital for founder-led and sponsor-backed companies, and has significant experience advising CEOs, boards of directors, and large shareholders on corporate strategy, capital structure, and capital access.
