Energy
Founded in 2014, Navitas develops ultra-efficient gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductors that are revolutionizing the world of power electronics in terms of efficiency, performance, size, cost and sustainability.
The name Navitas derives from the Latin word for energy, which encapsulates not just our focus on developing technologies for improved and more sustainable energy use but also the energy we bring to an estimated $13B power semiconductor market by 2026.
GaN is growing in importance because of its ability to offer significantly improved performance over conventional silicon semiconductors while reducing the energy and the physical space needed to deliver that performance. GaN technology will accelerate the transition to a sustainable future by delivering efficiency improvements, lowering the cost of clean energy and reducing the materials and energy needed to create power semiconductors.
Navitas is the industry leader in GaN with drive, control and protection in a single easy-to-use integrated circuit (IC). Navitas GaNFast ICs are easy-to-use ‘digital in, power out’ building blocks that enable up to one hundred times faster switching speeds while increasing energy savings by as much as 40%.
By choosing Navitas GaN, product developers are able to create smaller, lighter, faster and greener power conversion and power management solutions than ever before. GaNFast ICs enable the highest energy efficiency, highest integration and highest power density in applications ranging from fast chargers for smartphones, laptops and tablets to TVs, data centers, electric vehicles, eMobility and energy generation from renewables.
Navitas is run by a management team with an extraordinary track record of innovation and business creation in power electronics. The company is funded by the management team and top venture capitalists Atlantic Bridge, Capricorn Investment Group and Malibu IQ, all of whom have a track record in building businesses that have had a significant impact on the electronics industry.
Efficiency
Navitas is the only GaN company to monolithically integrate GaN power with drive, control and protection into a single-chip integrated circuit (IC). Navitas GaNFast ICs are easy-to-use ‘digital in, power out’ building blocks that enable up to one hundred times faster switching speeds while increasing energy savings by as much as 40%.
Customers adopting Navitas’ GaN technology
Navitas is uniquely positioned vs. others who struggle with drive and control
Navitas GaN power IC has a benefit with its simplicity
With an integrated driver, it is easy to use and highly reliable
With GaN devices, the most difficult part is gate driving. Navitas has solved this issue perfectly – today we only use Navitas.
