About Lip-Bu Tan:

Lip-Bu Tan is Founder and Chairman of Walden International, Founding Managing Partner of WRVI Capital, and CEO of Cadence Design Systems.

Lip-BU currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Cadence, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Schneider Electric and SoftBank Group. He serves on the Board of Trustees and the School of Engineering Dean’s Council at Carnegie Mellon University, is a member of the College of Engineering Advisory Board at University of California Berkeley, the Board of Global Semiconductor Alliance, and a member of The Business Council and Committee 100. He is the recipient of the 2016 GSA Morris Chang’s Exemplary Leadership Award.

He has a BS Physics from Nanyang Technical University in Singapore, MS in Nuclear Engineering from MIT, and an MBA from the University of San Francisco.
