Next-Gen Power Tools: No Cords, No Worry, No CO2

Electrify your work with fast-charging efficient, portable, quiet, low-maintenance battery-powered tools

Fast-charging with portability has revolutionized the power-tool industry from drills to snow blowers, replacing tangled AC cords and disruptive noise, with zero CO2 emissions at point of use.

From residential users to construction and industrial applications, the global cordless power tools market size is expected to reach $35.62 billion by 2027, growing at a CAGR of 10.67% from 2022.

Fast-charging and standardized battery-tool interfaces enable true tool ‘kits’ with a broad range of drills, circular saws, jigsaws, screwdrivers, impact wrenches, hammer drills, sanders, nail guns, flashlights, angle grinders and many more tools powered by one battery, while the second is being fast-charged nearby for high up-time, and no redundancy in cabling size, weight and cost.

Battery packs typically range from 12-19 V for residential users to 40-80 V for higher-power applications.

Higher-power tools such as leaf-blowers, lawnmowers, rakers, chain saws and snowblowers often require high torque to turn the blades / fans, so are ideal to transition from gas-powered to electric motors.

In October 2021, Governor Gavin Newsom of California signed a bill (AB-1346) that will phase out gas-powered leaf blowers and other gas-powered equipment by 2035, accelerating an already fast upgrade to electric motors. The bill is targeted to eliminate 16.8 tons per day of NOx and 125 tons per day of reactive organic gases, and has the added benefit of reducing noise. Over 100 municipalities in the US already have noise-abatement laws targeting gas-powered equipment.

A gas-powered leaf-blower can be 90+ dB vs only 65 dB for a battery-powered version.

Electric motors also mean zero energy loss, zero noise and zero CO2 emissions during idling time, with minimal maintenance and no trips to the gas station to fill up a tank.

For these higher-power applications, with higher torque requirements, battery voltages are typically 40-80 V.
