GaNFast power ICs deliver high performance in Italian style

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.–(PRWeb)— Navitas Semiconductor today announced its partnership with Eggtronic to create the Sirius Universal Laptop Charger, the smallest 65-watt USB Type-C Power Delivery laptop adapter in the world.

“Sirius is a great example of science meeting art,” said Gene Sheridan, Navitas CEO. “Navitas’ dedicated GaNFast technologists worked alongside Eggtronic’s engineering and industrial design teams to deliver a benchmark-performance fast-charger with elegant design.”

With Sirius, Eggtronic has created a powerful charging solution for today’s mobile consumers. The charger is compatible with all major laptops, smartphones, tablets and smart devices and weighs a mere 3.35 ounces, with dimensions of 2.70 by 1.98 by 0.77 inches. The consumer can now replace a drawerful of chargers with just one, slim and versatile Sirius. Sirius is also an excellent travel companion. As small as a deck of cards, business travelers can replace bulky and heavy AC adaptors and save valuable space in carry-on bags and hand luggage.

“Users will be able to save on their energy costs, reduce clutter and add some Italian design to their homes every time they plug in a charging cable,” Igor Spinella, Eggtronic’s CEO, said. “Business travelers will be able to travel with their tech with ease. We are proud to partner with some of the biggest retailers to expand the reach of our smartly designed product.”

Eggtronic engineers utilized Navitas GaNFast power ICs in their proprietary EcoVoltas technology, making the power conversion module inside Sirius incredibly power dense. Sirius leads the industry in superior device charging speed and energy efficiency with a 93% energy conversion rate. The intelligent charger responds to USB-C devices with the advanced USB Power Delivery output. Automatic smart-detection of different voltages (from 5 to 20 volts) and current (from 0.1 to 3.25 amperes) ensures universal compatibility while achieving fast charging and safe operations.

Sirius has been carefully designed to follow the strictest international quality standards. It is certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and UL; and complies with the European Union Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS), California Proposition 65, and the U.S. Department of Energy Level VI Energy Efficiency Standard.

The Sirius Universal Laptop Charger is available now at Office Depot, Best Buy Canada and Amazon, and is scheduled to be rolled out via all major personal tech retailers next year.

Navitas will showcase the GaNFast charger technology at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) which runs January 7-10 in Las Vegas, NV. The Navitas’ booth will be at LVCC, South Hall 3 booth number 30067.  To request a meeting with a Navitas representative at CES, contact +1 ThinkGaNIC (844-654-2642) or email [email protected]
